Maths Science and Technology Teachers group

Double aim:

    1. (in the framework of eTwinning Groups)
         Understand how Communities of Practice or Groups work and why/when do they survive.

    2. (why of this MST group in particular)
        
To discuss the advantages/disadvantages/impact of collaboration between MST teachers from different:
    • areas (ie Physics, Chemistry, Biology...)
    • schools
    • countries
         in the teachers professional development.


Profile of
MST teachers to belong to the group
Teachers should have experience of or an interest in:
  • eTwinning/co-operation projects
  • debating about pedagogical issues and impact
  • research/writing/publishing articles
  • meeting other MST teachers
  • teacher training/professional development issues

Broad goal: to learn how to get more MST teachers interested in collaborating in EU projects.

Smaller-scale goals:
  • learn advantages/disadvantages for teachers of collaborating with other MST teachers
  • meet other MST teachers to set up collaborative projects
  • carry out research projects in Science Education (and publish results in Educational journals)
  • (for CLIL teachers) to practice discussing Science through English (as a non native language)
